Terms of Service - Rapport AI

1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Rapport AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Not use the App to harass, threaten, or harm others
- Not spam or abuse the support system
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Important Disclaimer
Not Professional Mental Health Care
Rapport AI is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or counseling.
The App provides general relationship coaching and advice only. It is not designed to:
- Diagnose mental health conditions
- Treat depression, anxiety, or other mental health disorders
- Replace therapy or counseling with a licensed professional
- Provide crisis intervention
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed mental health professional or call a crisis helpline immediately.
AI Limitations
The App uses artificial intelligence, which can:
- Make mistakes or provide inaccurate advice
- Misunderstand context or nuance
- Generate responses that do not apply to your specific situation
Always use your own judgment and consider seeking professional advice for important decisions.
5. Acceptable Use
You will not use the App to:
- Create content that is illegal, hateful, or discriminatory
- Share intimate images without consent
- Harass or threaten others
- Attempt to extract personal data from the App
- Circumvent security measures
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Rapport AI. You do not have the right to modify, distribute, or use it outside the scope of this license.
7. User Content
Any conversations you have within the App are your property. We do not claim ownership of your messages, uploaded images, or coaching data. However, by using the App, you grant us the right to process your messages and images through AI APIs necessary to provide the service.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses Anthropic's Claude API to provide AI coaching. By using the App, you agree to Anthropic's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. See https://www.anthropic.com/ for details.
Messages and images you upload are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Refer to Anthropic's privacy policy for how they handle API data.
The App uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. Your subscription is governed by Apple's terms.
9. Limitations of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Any reliance on advice provided by the App
- Any harmful consequences from using the App
- Any third-party services or content
You use the App at your own risk.
10. Subscription and Billing
- Premium subscriptions auto-renew according to your selected plan (monthly or yearly)
- You can cancel your subscription anytime in App Store settings
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policies
- We do not offer refunds for unused subscription time
11. Termination
We may terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Rapport AI is based, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as-is" without any warranties, express or implied.
We do not warrant that the App will:
- Be error-free or uninterrupted
- Meet your specific needs
- Provide accurate information
- Be compatible with all devices
